School Vision Program

Children need to see clearly to read, write, and learn — and many vision problems go unnoticed without a check.

About the program

School Vision Program

A child who squints at the board, holds books very close, or gets headaches while reading may be having trouble seeing. Catching it early makes a real difference in the classroom.

The School Vision Program is NYC Public Schools' program for student vision care. The official page explains the services offered and how families take part.

For the past two years, our vision partner has been Helen Keller Intl's ChildSight Program, working in partnership with NYC Public Schools. The specific vision provider can change from year to year.
