As a Spanish-speaking family, we were nervous about navigating the NYC school system. PS 83's Parent Coordinator called us in our language, walked us through every step, and made us feel like we belonged from day one.
This school is an excellent school. My 2 boys attend this school and they are doing so well academically. The teachers really do go out of their way to help each student and Mrs. Castillo/Mrs. Cruz are a great team administering this school together. Kudos to this school and to their staff!!!!
I have had several children graduate from Public School 83 and all have graduated from college. The administrative team and teachers work together to ensure in providing the students the very best educational experiences.
My son is heading to a specialized middle school this fall. When I think about how far he's come since Pre-K at PS 83, I'm just grateful. This school gave him a foundation that will last his whole life.
